What We Do
We run three programs. Here's what each one is and how far along it is.
Program one
Training
Workshops for teachers, students, and school staff on using AI safely and ethically, including how to avoid producing slop.
Nobody has worked out best practices for AI in schools yet, and that includes us. That's why volunteer teachers are helping decide what the training covers before any of it is taught.
It's still in development. We aren't selling or delivering anything yet.
If you teach, we'd like your help deciding what goes in.
I want to helpProgram two
The anti-slop standard
Questions AI-assisted classroom material should pass before it reaches a student.
Slop is our word for material produced in bulk with nobody's judgment behind it. Classrooms were full of it long before generative AI, in worksheet mills and recycled packets. AI made it much cheaper to produce, and cheap material tends to push out better work.
We're writing the standard now and will test it with teachers against real worksheets. It isn't finished.
Why schools need itProgram three
Democratic AI
Teachers should decide what the tools they use look like, instead of accepting a company's idea of what is best.
In practice that means teachers contributing tools, instead of a company building them and selling access back. It also means any tool built this way should reach an underrepresented school at full capability, with nothing held back for a paid tier.
No tools have been released under this program yet.

Come help us build this
Whether you teach, lead a school, or just care how AI shows up in classrooms, we'd really like to meet you. Leave your email and one of us will reach out personally to hear what you'd like to do.
